Judging by the price action during the last few days, I would say that someone is quietly establishing large positions in CPU. This sudden pops in the middle of the day on the large volume, 200,000 share blocks being purchased without cross anouncements ...

Looks like we will see some upgrades soon.

I think its more to do with Halpins comments in the last quarterly report where he said he anticipated no significant growth for the next two quarters. When the CEO tells you that after 3 lousy quarters, its got to make some people nervous about investing.

The only question that would still remain is -why the insiders had bought, if they really expected soft quarters then they would have held off for some time!!?? any comments?

I agree! However, It is better for a CEO to talk a stock down and then beat the #'s than to talk it up and miss. It may very well take a little longer, however CPU sales seem very robust. It all depends on how long it takes to absorb Computer City and become accretive. I believe there is a lot of value here and as we both know the accumulation phase begins before the profit announcement. Thanks for the post!
