Could you clarify your position?

I think you said you would rather have Slick than Bore. But you seem to want Slick out based on this post. I want him out and I don't particularly care whether Bore is worse or better. Slick is a liar and perjuror and I don't think we should tolerate that.

I agree he lied and under oath - but since most of this had its origins in politics it is playing that way all down the line - an extraordinary episode in American public life - the images for the future will be interesting I think - often of old men huddling (Hyde et al) whispering to each other behind the back of their hands. In a way it's a morality play, a lesson in civics - it has everything. I hope it leads to a riveting play or movie. The Jones case had its roots in money and political vengence, and 15 minutes of fame - turns out to be more than that. E
