ONSL sold down today for technical reasons. You can look back to a couple of my posts in the past days for an explanation of this.

Management for US OWNERS/INVESTORS should seek to MAXIMIZE PROFITS. ONSL is not here to give the retail consumer a break. ONSL is here to maximize profits.

Of course to maximize profit they need to temper high margins with retail customer satisfaction/VOLUME. So far volume is expanding as fast as mgmt can handle it!!!! There is no need to cut our margins, and increase retail traffic even more. We are a young company. We need to make some MONEY/PROFITS. As long as the traffic continues to increase and as long as we are losing money, we should not make any gratuitous price reductions...IMO.

Colin

I'll have to look at more auction sites to compare but I think OnSale's shipping charge is within the norm. From experience from ordering a few things at different auction sites, Onsale has been very quick to get me what I ordered. Auction-Sales (www.Auction-Sales.com) takes up to 8 weeks, EggHead's Surplus (www.egghead.com) was a bomb. Never heard anything. Going to buy a few things from Ubid (www.ubid.com) and see how long it takes. OnSale gets an A+ from my experiences. That is why I am here, looking to get some shares in a company that has their Shyt together.

>>Charging shipping as much as possible and hoping to get away with it is not a good business.>>
Look at the big picture, and stop complaining about shipment costs, all Ecommerce companies charge about the same based on weight and distance...I bought a 7,000.00 server for 3,000.00 from Quik buy...Do you think anyone would care about paying 10 bucks extra to make a saving of 50%. Buy items that would normally cost over 1,000 from ONSL,not 50 dollar coffee-maker... and see the savings you'll make. I've been a very satisfied customer since they launched their site...I wish ONSL goes back to 30 again.

I think you are a bit off base with your shipping concern.

The only genuine concerns I have seen voiced involve items shipped by 3rd parties. Items shipped by Onsale have been quite reasonable for quite some time, as Onsale had previously addressed exactly this issue. For anyone concerned, they disclose the fees when you bid and even provide a link to UPS to verify that they are not hosing you.

As for frightening away customers, I'd have to say that a 77% sustained rate of sales to repeat customers speaks VOLUMES. For God's sake, COOL just bragged about 53% in their 10-Q.

Today's news releases were irrelevant as to the stock price in todays market. The first dealt with an obscure (important to Onsale, but incomprehensible to all the idiot day traders moving this stock right now)for tracking the effectiveness of advertising buys. Frankly this quarter I have seen the least amount of advertising yet along with very few give-aways which should help margins somewhat.

The second press release was a joke, and was not provided by Onsale.
There has BEEN a XEROX showcase sponsored by Telecom inc. for quite some time. They did manage to double their stock on it though.
