Would it be technically feasible to alter the so called "flesh-eating bacteria" to do it's devouring selectively against cancer cells? If it can be done with salmonella, why not with other microbes which have demonstrated far more aggressiveness?

Richard: Any additional comments on the VION article in the January issue of Nature Biotechnology? The #119 message summary statement from VION was, to me, a pretty detailed coverage of the topic and the results.
