"If I had known I was going to latin american, I would have
paid more attention to latin in high school." Please give credit where credit is due. While it did come from the Vice President of these (somewhat) United States, that wonderful phrase was spoken by none other than the master of malapropisms, Dan Quayle

I believe that it was said by Dan Quayle.

hogster,
The Latin line comes from Quayle but Gore, playing off his own wooden image, did say some people consider him to be only a heartbeat away from the vice presidency. (Think about it)
Best,

Shades of Dan Quayle- only difference was Danny boy had a spelling problem. "I think both have tight underware on which affects the thought process".
