The constitution is in conflict with the ultimate goals of the liberals. So, any chance they have to diminish the intended consequence, they will utilize. The right to keep and bear arms is a good example of the constitution under attack by the socialist left. Now under Clinton, we have a new one. Government by decree. No other President in history has issued the number of Executive Orders as Clinton. The EO usurps the authority vested only in congress. When will (the attack on the constitution) it stop? Perhaps when we wake up and realize that we no longer have a democratic republic, but instead, our government has become an institution of socialism with little regard for individual rights. Are we at that stage yet? Maybe not, but we are closer than any of us like to admit.
