Tom,

I am going to wait till the Beta confirms one way or the other. Still on a SPOO sell from yesterday, the trade I missed cause I was in conference. Beta still on the buy since 12/16. This one may be another whip to the up-side, so just as well I missed it.

Scary day yesterday. Good thing you had the 50 pointer going into it. Helps make it a bit more palatable, but only slightly.

Actually there were so many similar situations that it was hard to break them down.

But the one common pattern that came out the next day was always either up pretty much all day or up with a pullback in mid-day.

In other words, buy the Open and tighten stops going into lunch.

There is a third possibility that it pulls back mid-day and runs in the last hour.

One of the guys who taught me this stuff sent me a message last night that similar days are 6/23/98, 1/4/94, and 1/8/97. I was encouraged that he came up with the same results I did. But I was unable to buy the Open because of some internet glitch using PC Quote so I'm sidelined for now.

Do you mean the Close on Thursday? Friday was New Year's.

I intend to either sell around noon or buy around 2, perhaps both. I will be focusing on the long side more than the sell at noon, however.

Tom,

Did your system let you down or did you miss read the indicators.

Everything was there for the forks....but I kept anticipating a
stronge move up...which never came...I kept looking and leading
with expectation....missed a great bounce off an upper tine

The market pivoted just where I thought it would and because it
was not spectacular....It was ignored.
Clear as Ice water...but didn't follow it.....missed opportunity.

Not Good.....
