Half? You are an optimist. I would venture to guess that they're right less than half the time. Don't know the reality yet, but I'm with you. However, since my cost basis is in the upper $30's, I think I'd rather see some recovery based on fundamentals then a buyout later in the year when PE's for the sector should pick up. Either way, I wouldn't mind holding IBM either.

Lebo, that is what everyone said about analysts when Chuck Phillips and a couple other analysts down graded saying license growth was slowing and Y2K was affecting ERP. 2-3 weeks later PSFT had their earnings and admitted the above, so I wouldn't say all analysts don't know what they are doing.
