ALL: Although I am loathe to think of this, couldn't GNET realize quite a bit of ad revenue from placing ads on SI? Since most every other site I can think of pops up a banner first, why not here? GNET has stated that the vast majority of their revenue will continue to be from advertising.... Any thoughts (don't flame me too badly, please).

< "Also from a design/aesthetic perspective, some of Go2Net's look less hot than some of its competitors. The logo, for instance, appears as a draft, or a place holder for a "real logo.">

"In the past companies competed on the basis of price, today companies compete on the basis of quality, in the future they will compete on the basis of design"

a design professor from harvard made this comment last year.

It is always interesting when the uninvolved have "critical" design comments after the fact.
Site and logo look pretty good to me and I've done a lot of them.
In any case, what is important is growth in users, new applications, advertising revenues and corporate profit.....all things that the company is doing.
