Al is too modest. He spoke with Karen for an hour and a half in her jersey home. And again today. While we were all out in the cold in our supplicant's outfits. Must be that rockabilly charm. <g>
Now I imagine few on this board either want or need AXC to rise more than me ...but the bare bones gist of their conversations. Al can correct me if I got it wrong.
There is no news forthcoming. There will be no consumer product. The employment ad is for a rep to deal with small corporations that may be customers now.The domain registrations were forward looking sensible precautions. A web host if it comes to be will be a simple service. Nothing spectacular. Bramson is out there every day looking at possible acquisitions but no deals are now done. Their focus remains to grow MicroNet sales and those of their other core products. She will not say if revenues are still plummeting - other than to tell Al ( Al correct me if I am getting this wrong )- that " Ed said in his last statement to shareholders that it might be a tough year. " ( a few tough quarters is what I think he said). And last, Bramson has said that is the last time he can borrow money for the company.
None of the deals mentioned in the Q will have revenues coming in the fourth quarter, so I personally think it is safe to assume another rough one. They probably would have preannounced if it was not. The combination of no news and bad earnings would likely pulverize this rally as bad earnings pulverized the Micronet acquisition rally last year. If that happens, I sure would not know what the pullback level would be - deferring to Ed and Carl and Cards in that ....but happily imagine it would be higher than it was before.
For what it may be worth, I myself am hanging in, despite my substantial doubts, for a few reasons. They will likely make another acquisition at some point this year- the higher share price sure helps - and it may be a good one. They will also likely exercise that web option for real someday ( hope they don't miss the boat altogether here) and however humble they might consider the prospects, the market might see it very differently. AXC does have a way of exciting the imagination. And sales may increase by the end of the year. A DCR recovery could accomplish that. Or MicroNet may well be aided by the Apple recovery. Hoping for the medium term.
But short term? Good luck to all.
