Re: "After this disappointment, its amazing anyone still has the dedication to come here and post future scenarios etc etc.."

After this disappointment? Do you know how many times AMD has disappointed over the last 15 years? This one is nothing compared to some of the others. Go back and look at the posts from the April '97 and July '97 disappointments. Even those were nothing compared to the K5 debacle or AMD failure in PLDs. Once, AMD was the world leader in PLDs with almost 50% of the market and Altera and Xilinx were no more than blips on the radar screen. No, it was all thrown away so Sanders could spend all of AMD resources on taking on Intel. The stock is right where it was 15 years ago. Its the same crap over and over and over again. You and most of the current investors will get out, the stock will fall to the 10-12 range and then a new round of suckers will get lured in by Sander's lies and hype and push the stock to 30-40 again....

<The company honestly deserves to be bashed, and im not just saying that because im going to take a loss..>
<settle for whatever some fool wants to pay.>

Stop whinning. Was not it you who was in
the same position of buying high some time ago?
Why did you buy? The market IS DESIGNED to
pump money from unstable greedy little people
like you. Apparently you don't realize
the simple mechanism: the MM people intentionally
shake the market boat with unrealistic
expectations, and fools buy into it. Then pay.
You take losses, they take your money.
<but next quarter will be the same thing..>
Absolutely.

<They can NEVER compete with INTC>
AMD does this for 30 years. Still alive.
It is a different matter that it does not
live to the level of your expectations.
Who's problem is it? Yours.

<there is simply not enough room for 2 players
to enjoy the sun together...>
It depends on the size of a "player".
One player become too fat. Too much fat
is dangerous for health, everybody knows
this.

Don't let anything tell you otherwise.

The only way to make money is "Buy Low, Sell High". Even a dog like this can make an investors a lot of money.

Do you realize the most vocal folks that are hyping this stocks here have very little investment in this stock?

I was sitting and thinking this morning about the state of the x86 world, and here is what I came up with ......

1. The K6 family is not going over 400 MHz in volume anytime soon.
2. PIII will hit 500MHz+ next month.

Adding 1+2 together, this means that K6(2/3) ASP's will be low, and will not produce increased revenues.

Therefore, future revenue growth is completely dependent on K7.
So, until some K7 info is available ..... I'm out.
