I think that is for sure. But note there is no correspondence between the 20% co-pay and the 20% discount on services offered by PowerX. In the first case, you pay 20% of the bill but with PowerX you eventually pay 80% or more depending on interest charges.

I agree that there is some value to the doctors collecting sooner, and can see that there is further advantage when the percentage of local doctors available is a lower one. This will represent incremental business, as patients will be directed to them. As the percentage rises however then this benefit is diluted.

I find it surprising that they don't have an on-line database to provide an up to date list of providers. It seems that if they really had lots of participants in the plan, this would be the far easier thing to do than require you contact the company to get a list. If they were trying to shield a perception of lower participation, then I guess they would act as they are.
