I tend to believe that once again Abby Cohen will be proven right and that there will be large gains in stocks, technology in particular. I also think Rambus showed us Friday it has at lot of upwards momentum - the fact that MS was a major buyer yesterday strenghtens that thought.
Short term I think we'll set new highs within 1/2 weeks and very small corrections will take place until Q2 when Dell or Compaq will be the first to announce PC's with Rambus inside (probably prototypes), then there's no looking back. Profits in 2000/1 will be staggering to quote SG Cowen.

Good luck all

jmanvegas, you have to take into account that the real was taken down 20%, thus the 33% of the Bovespa is not even 10% in constant dollars terms. Furthermore, that rebound was after a very long string of declines that brought the Bovespa to more than a 50% decline (from a high above 12,000 and in constant dollars, close to 14,000). Buying into their own equity market is one method of protecting their wealth against devaluation. If their market goes too high, it may soak up liquidity from the rest of their economy.
