Add a couple of UPS systems to your configuration. Nothing more boring than having a power fluctation/power loss in the middle of some serious trading. (A lot of folks use cordless phones....plug it into one of the UPSs) Throw in a cell phone.

Best Regards,
Jim

P.S. Even if you're not going to do trading an UPS is a nice addition to your system(s). Not only does it provide some protection against annoyances, it does give you better power surge protection.

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but don't use 56K modem lines. Get one ISDN line, and connect to your ISP via ISDN dial up.
Your connection time for dial-up is about 700ms. Very fast.
Network your two computers into a hub, get and ASND P75 ISDN box, and you are set. Write me if you need technical help.

UPS, get a TV with DSS so you can see CNNfn, PMSNBC, et al.
