Now that the impeachment case has fallen apart Radical republican pundits have finally given a clue as to the real motive for the six year mud flinging spree at Clinton.

They don't have a hero to rally around. When someone says republican everyone thinks Lincoln. The trouble with Lincoln for the Radicals is that he is associated with blacks and other minorities as well as a strong central government. The Radicals have been sitting around waiting for Reagan to die so they can proclaim him Saint Reagan and put his picture on money and have shrines built to him. The trouble is for everything Reagan did, Clinton did it better. Clinton accomplished the things that Reagan could only promise.
There has been the funniest parade of old supply side economists trying to dodge the question of how Clinton could have the strongest economy in our history and balance the budget at the same time, while Reagan could only get a temporary bubble by borrowing trillions of our children's dollars. By trying to bury the President in mud they are hoping that no one will notice.

Clinton is also proposing spending for 15 years beyond the end of his term. He takes the take for a tax-and-spend liberal.

John,

Four trillion, huh?

Who was it that said... "Four trillion here, four trillion there... pretty soon you're talking about a LOT of money"? :-)

I agree with you... only a few of the proposals will ever be instituted. I never called them "his" proposals, mind you. You are right about his continued habit of usurping Republican ideas as his own, even after the Dems blocked them in the past.

Slick is sleaze personified.
