You are blaming Carter for some of Fords doings. The arab oil embargo was 1973, and WIN (whip inflation now) - wasnt that Ford? Even Nixon initiated price freezes.

Reagan ... who fixed each and every ill Carter brought us. I saw a show that implied that it was Carter's opposition to high cost water projects and mining lease giveaways that caused the Reagan supporters launch his candidancy. What I remember most about Reagan's economic plan was that land and house prices tripled while salaries remained the same. That was followed by every bank I dealt with failing. There were seven in all, my funds would get tied up,, transfered to another institution and it would fail itself. I finally ended up with most of my money in a credit union. TP
