Well, recent events have made things interesting. I now read these posts to see how fast everyone moves through the five conditions we humans go through to restore order to life after a serious thing happens:

1) Shock
2) Grief
3) Anger
4) Denial
5) Capitulation

Maybe we can do it like the mechanic in the TV series "Wings" did it. He went through all five, one right after the other, in less than 30 seconds. For those of us who are long term, it is about all the time that is necessary.

The paradox which I continually encounter on this board is the number of posters who would like to castigate others for having purchased the stock for the "wrong reasons". When I bought this stock originally, I bought it as an addition to my growth stock portion of my portfolio. I bought it as I have the 4-6 other stocks in that portion with the thought that it had sound fundamentals, was in an industry that was emerging and had a line of products which would have perpetual use regardless of how far technology takes the rest of the world. I also bought the stock as a result of my belief that the candor and straight-forwardness which JT displayed were totally unique and not found in the broad business climate. Apparently those of you who bought for the "right reasons" have some first hand knowledge of germplasm and enhanced seed products and feel that you are making a difference in the world by owning this stock. Remember that unless you bought it as an IPO, ABTX never saw a dime of your money for their research projects.

I owned the same relatively small number of shares from my purchase in the mid-teens to 29 1/2 and back to 7 5/8, Then or thereabouts, I turned on my computer one day and found JT's announcement that he had engaged world class counsel to assist him in "maximizing shareholder value, etc. etc. etc ". It was that day that I started to add significantly to my ABTX holdings, predicated solely upon my belief in the man and his message. That faith has been unwaivering through Friday night. I could never overcome my feelings of good fortune as a result of having been in the right place at the right time so as to allow me to have first hand stumbled upon this opportunity. I had never heard of a buy-in/buy-out proposition which came with a virtual date certain. Although that date certain was a cornucopia to the shorts, it was likewise a seeming blessing to longs since it gave us a target as to when we needed to be sitting with as much stock/options
as we felt comfortable holding.

I don't sit here today, ready to bail out tomorrow since I do believe that JT must still have a game plan which will carry the day. On the other hand, I am no lomger willing to bow to this man as the reincarnation as some of my fellow posters choose to do. This board at times sounds like the huddled masses gathered at an Amway meeting.

For all of your high sounding rhetoric, there isn't a beneficial owner of this stock who didn't this past Friday afternoon walk away from their computer with the quiet assurance in their mind that someday next week, they would be just a little better off than they had been last week. To say otherwise is pure hypocrisy. You are the same people who would choose to say that the impeachment case isn't about sex. You would be the same people who would buy a low priced developmental cancer stock because you are hopeful that your purchase will somehow aid in the eradication of the disease. At times, when I read the the messages on this board, I better understand how Jonestown or Heavensgate can take place. I wouldn't be standing at the possible brink of disaster if I hadn't chosen to believe in the same man you choose to sanctify. I will stay the course. but I will do so the wiser but sadder man.

End of Rant- That's how I see it, I'm sure you'll tell me why I'm wrong.

Have heard there is a conf call at 9:30 am, open
to ALL
by: InvesmentLady
19312 of 19312
The number is 800-533-0326, at 9:30 eastern--the opening bell. It will be an open forum and all can listen in and participate, it will be taped.

Apparently, ATT logistics won't let them do the call any earlier, though I urged them to do
so.

They will discuss the suspended strategic partnership, financial health, operations, and take questions.

Francis told me they have paid off all SHORT-TERM debt and they will go over that more in detail, including the terms of the convertible debt conversion and their ability to buy it back.

Look folks, like most of you I am pissed, disgusted and feel betrayed. I was counting on the deal too. Now I am worried about damage control and just how is the company situated for the convertible, dilution, ability to pay debt service, integration of consolidation, accounting system integration, sales growth, margin growth, etc.

So I will listen in on the call with an angry ear, hoping to hear they are not desperate with facts and what they have to say about the health or risks for the company now. And what the heck happened to *the deal*.
