perhaps there's some confusion because the DJ report i saw had a much more negative tone. revenue dropping etc. i agree psft should do better than sap.

i think it's because people (or at least I do) still remember being burned by them in October.

Smart ... Why do people assume that Coke's stock ought to go up

immediately after Pepsi reports good results? You assume more people are drinking soda and therefore Coke will benefit. Perhaps others assume Pepsi has stolen market share from Coke.

Can't this same logic apply to software? And I am not saying I expect poor results from PSFT - I am not sure what to expect at all.
