Now Justa, don't hold your feeling back. <g>

Re: "And there is one more reason in my thinking to sell. His name is Percy Thomas. Let's see if anyone can figure out what I mean by this reference. See Chapter 12, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator."

I have not read the aforementioned book, so I wait with baited breath for your explanation of the above statement.

Best wishes,

I2

Percy Thomas

"...It cost me millions to learn that another dangerous enemy to a trader is his susceptibility to the urgings of a magnetic personality when plausibly expressed by a brilliant mind..."

Justa,

Do you think Brinker's long term opinion of UTEK has changed significantly due to today's earnings?

Your comments are excellent. I might add the critical
importance of limiting single stock exposure to no more
than four percent of equities. That way,if a stock disappoints
and drops in half you still have 98% of your portfolio plus
what you make on the 96% you had invested in other equities.
That is what strategic diversification is all about. No
question picking individual names is a very risky business
therefore wide diversification protects from overly
aggressive single stock risk. This is the most important
principle to employ when dealing in stocks. Those that piledrive
into one or two stocks expose themselves to huge potential risk.

Justa,

FWIW, I sold my entire UTEK position 10 months ago b/c I was uncomfortable with mgt. I also got out of SVGI several months prior to UTEK for similar reasons. Anyone holding these stocks IMO should limit their exposure to them to a bare minimum. Sometimes a hunch is worth much more than TA or FA.
