Frankly, the worst piece of news I see is the layoffs - not only for the employees being laid off, but for the company. It's surprising that in this environment where ERP vendors and SIs are struggling to find suitable PSFT, ORCL and SAP employees, these guys are actually planning on laying off!! Not only does that tell me that things are still pretty bad internally, but it affects morale. The license revenues, etc - that's not much different than what their main competitors mentioned above, and also Baan, JD Edwards, etc. have been saying - it's the state of the business......on the positive side, their consulting fees (basically deployment) have gone up significantly. Let's face it - ERP deployment monies are more in the implementation than in the software licensing - and on that front, it's the Andersens, E&Ys, KPMGs, etc. who are raking in the bucks - and frankly, there's very little these ERP vendors can do. The power in this industry has moved.
