Drakes - the reason for the technology's existence seem to be escaping you.

There are tens of thousands of workers that travel and there are tens of millions of employees that are not able to get cable in their homes. There are also tens of millions of employees that either can't get a second phone line due to all the pairs in their neighborhood already being used or if they do have two lines the second one is usually the teenager's line.

Now let's touch on a few points about cable modems if you're lucky enough to be able to get one. It has taken COX two years to get a small part of OKC rewired to the point that they can offer @Home but there is no phone service available with the service if you can even get it. They are also nothing more than a "neighborhood LAN" thus any corporation in its right mind would never allow any sensitive corporate business to be conducted over one as it's just too easy to "spy on your neighbors" so to speak.

Why have I had to type this same thing over and over again for years?
