Dear Dale: I wouldnt feel too sorry for Monica. She will ultimately become not only very rich over this but go down in history as the woman who nearly toppled a President--certainly destroyed his legacy. If you wish to feel sorry for someone consider Chelsea. She is the real victim. jdn

Dale, I finally found that we do agree on something.

"But impeachment is a vehicle for doing what is best for the country. It was never intended as a vehicle for punishment."

I like your political perceptions better than your investment savvy regarding Sun and Oracle. I hope you find a good exit strategy for your short sun and oracle positions. Looks like technology may be taking a momentary downturn.

All the best,
Michael

OTOT Dale: My two cents on your Monica/Privacy commentary - the classic question of how do you balance two important but competing things My take -- One must accept the consequences for one's actions. While Monica broke no law per se, she was an accessory in Clinton's crime and has played a key part in contributing to the disgrace Clinton has left on Presidency and the pain his habitually poor judgement has inflicted on society and the weaker situation his inappropriate actions have led our country into on the international landscape. In summary, while I concur that government should play less of a role in our private lives, one's actions in the public sphere must be handled gingerly -- actions often have situationally different ramifications for better or for worse. Finally, please pinpoint what you were addressing concerning your statement "its only human nature". P.S As per Sun Micro, love the Company, concerned about valuation for many of the reasons you have mentioned but also recognize and therefore incorporate into my buy/sell decision making process the powerful and prominent role Sun is playing and will continue to play in the new economy. Thus I disagree with you to a degree on both assertions, but appreciate your contribution to this thread.
