So with this law suit crap, are we going to see a major down day tomorrow? EGRP did not participate in the last 2 days' run, but I think we will be punished.

I tell you, I used trade with Discover. They suck big time. At least EGRP was down only the past 2 days, with Discover they are down about 2 to 3 days a month. You place an order, and God forbid, if you want to change, or cancel. Forget it. It is impossible. The S.O.B.s sit on the order, if it goes against you, they process it, and if it goes for you, guess what your order was cancelled. This shit happened to me at least 10 times.

Gee, Cosmo, we seem to be in the same stocks. Except you know when to move in and out of them, and I don't :-)

Cosmo,

Could you elaborate a little on:

...get a back up broker. I have one and any stock I want to sell through E*Trade I can sell short with the other broker to box it until E*Trade get back on line and then close both positions or close the one that's against me.

There is nothing I'd like better than to internalize your motto of:

Stop bitching and learn how to trade.

The above idea, about getting a backup broker and shorting a stock when you want to sell when e*tirade (sic) is down, sounds plausible I would just like some details if you don't mind.

Mahalo, Mike

>forget the suits and get a back up broker

Cosmo,

Wrong! Not a productive idea, IMO.

That doesn't fix the real problem ===> E*trade's incompetence and lack of a functional back-up system. Any broker that posts a message to the effect, "Service Unavailable" during trading hours needs to be investigated, and hauled into the court system if necessary to fix their problem as opposed to making their problem the customer's problem. It makes no sense to me to force customers into a back-up brokerage scenario when they themselves have no functional back-up system.

To E*trade I would say, fix your problem or face the consequences. And if the consequences involve the courts, so be it.
