Well, I FINALLY got a response from OnSale today...to my dismay!

This product was advertised as a CD upgrade for MSOffice 97. Here is the response I received:

<<Here is an update to your customer service request:

"James

The item was advertised as a competitive/version upgrade license only.
We did not state that the CD and manual are included. Please contact
MICROSOFT - CONSUMER
Warranty Service: 800-426-9400 to clarify. >>

So though the ad stated it to be a CD, they are now refuting that, telling me to call Micrsoft instead. Nope...I'm still not going to buy a share of stock in a company with this attitude! Perhaps I should be glad it only took them 13 days to respond?

Let's face it, when we buy stock in a company we are, or should be, concerned that the company performs, sells product, satisfies customers and continues to grow and earn profits, thereby increasing the per share value. Truthfully, I do not see 13 day response times and disputed advertising as the means to do this.
