Steve, Does Yamner&Co allow the selling of naked calls and puts?
My current broker only lets very large accounts do this.
I have a nice size account, but the short fat bald guy who manages
all the options at my current broker caught me selling naked calls
and made me stop doing it. Not before I make a ton selling DBCC calls
in the high 30's.
I use this stragety very rarely and it avoids the problem of getting the borrow for shorting. What is Yamner's rule for this?
Thanks
John

OK, another question, if I may be so annoying. Why the heck doesn't Waterhouse enforce this? Am I liable to any degree? I really never kept track, because I thought it was the broker's responsibility to make certain that trades were in compliance. Was I just being naive? Should I spend the time and toll charges to call their compliance officer? Sorry to be such a pest.
