My spin on the RT sale rumor spin is that it depends on what is defined as RT. We know the revenue for service contracts would be RT. We know that software powerworks or what ever they call it would be RT.

The big question is on the hardware. If they move to Atlanta then where would the mediahawks be built ? Would they have to use
proceeds to build a shop floor somewhere ? SFA has a big place
in Mexico. Could CCUR borrow part of that facility to build them.
That would certainly lower the costs. Make a lot of Floridians worried
as well.

SFA is still rumored to be selling the STB's for a lot of money
but from the smaller STB's threads I am hearing that SFA may be quoting STB's prices that are lower than the others.

I would be horrified if RT only commanded $75 million.

I am also strongly opposed to selling RT generally, especially if there is any Wind River type potential for the future, which will not be reflected in any price that can be obtained today. Right now we have a core business paying the R&D for VOD, supplying the manufacturing capability, etc. - a somewhat solid company for any MSO to see, touch and feel. Without RT all we will have is a development stage company piling up losses, starting out with $100 million cash, or whatever.

The only kind of sale that would make sense to me is to sell RT to Lockheed or Wind River and turn around and sell VOD to SFA and distribute the proceeds to shareholders. I for one would probably sell my position out if only RT was sold and there was a "pop" because of the idea of now having a pure VOD company.
