Mel, Iomega and any other removable drive makers know that customers will abuse the drive and disk. The warnings against leaving a disk
in the drive are probably dictated by legal considerations.

PS: for future designs, maybe Iomega can hire the two
unmentionables as consultants. At least that would get
them out of OUR hair.

Mel,

I frequently transport my Clik! drive with disk inserted. Haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. As far as I know, leaving the disk inserted has no effect on battery usage.
