Qualcomm response on WSJ China statement:

1. Even after checking with their contacts in China they do not know the basis of the article. (as of 10am this morning)

2. The Great Wall company is still moving ahead with CDMA networks.

3. GSM is experiencing capacity problems,as CDMA is making headway.

If interested in Golden Bridge, I suggest that you look at the long saga of Interdigital, Don Schilling and the boys. The company names have changed but the rhetoric remains the same. It dates back to 1989 when they were trying to stop the CDMA we( PacTel, Nynex, Ameritech) were endorsing from being considered by the CTIA and the rest of the industry. Another day, another attempt.

Regarding your comment on facts. We cant make any formal announcements at this point. I expect soon, but until then I will use the word hope.
