Msg. to all, I have a problem that seems to be getting worse. When I click on a link, I get error msgs, either " no such interface supported" or " protocol not valid". This happened only now and then at first, now it happens several times ea day.
Could I have picked up a "virus" that would cause this? I have never tried any of the virus detectors, and now I'm afraid to download anything. I'm using a Compaq Presario, with win. 95 and IE 4.0 .
This problem is frustrating me to say the least, because I know nothing about computers. Any advice?

TIA, Jim

Dear mark <mrmark@saber.net>: Unfortunately this is not a feature of Communicator currently. I do however
encourage you to fill out a features request at home.netscape.com The more people who fill
out this form the more likely our engineers are to incorporate you feature in the future. Have a great day! ------ Thank
you for contacting Netscape Technical Support. When replying please quote the entire message. L. Gladney

guys didn't even come close to answering my question. what's so frustrating is that i plainy wrote
that i have communicator 4.5, and your reply begins by telling me about 3.x, and ends by saying i
can download communicator 4.5 if i want to! very, very frustrating. i could not have been more
concise in my email to you. i'll state it again. how can i delete incoming email in communicator 4.5
messenger WITHOUT first opening it?
thank you once again, mark"

aren't they "special"? i don't have the energy to tell them that i know someone who has it working just fine on their machine.

:)

I agree. (Win98 over 95)

It is without question a superior operating system. Although there are some problems associated with it, and it runs much better on a newer/faster system, I'd rather use it than Windows 95.

Then again, NT blows them both away, but that's another story <g>

I can't really advise the upgrade edition however, because it often causes dinky little problems during the upgrade that can disable some of your currently installed software. If possible, back-up your data, wipe the drive, and re-install from scratch. You shouldn't be disappointed.

Plus, their Windows Update feature is a definite improvement over Windows 95.

Ok, enough Microsoft propaganda for now. :)
