I echo your thoughts Mike. I am a long-term THQ shareholder...almost 4 years now...and I am at a complete loss to explain the sell off in the shares today. THQ has such a profitable business model but the Street doesn't care. What "bar" does this company have to get over to get more respect? Why were investors willing to pay $30+ for these shares a few months ago and are so quick to sell the stock on great earnings? I don't get it. I probably never will. No wonder small caps continue to do so lousy. Sell THQ and buy AMZN and YHOO? May that is what is going on with investors. 80%+ eps growth is just not good enough I guess.

Investors who are selling or shorting this stock must be focusing on the expiration of the WCW license. They look at that as a major loss of revenues (close to 2/3). I haven't played one of the wrestling games and I'm not knowledgable about the WCW and WWF but I would guess that the only thing that may be lost when THQ switches from WCW game to WWF game is some star recognition. How much better is a game going to sell when the "combatants" involved are from the WCW as opposed to the WWF? If graphics, action, format etc are the same except for the names of the characters I don't see them being any less popular. Of course I'm guessing because I really don't know the difference between the WCW and the WWF but maybe many of the kids buying these games don't know the difference either.
