It almost sounds like you are a principle of bid.com
1) Bid.Com revenues are in the (maybe 30m to 50m range)annually
2) OnSale $240m
3) Bid.Com barely profitable, relative to revenues
4) Bid.Com excellent PR staff or agency, just follow their release string. But, nothing substantive!
Looks like a market "hype" to me. Applying for listing on the NASDAQ currently.
Didn't get a chance to see where their net worth qualifies, but I am sure they have it figured out.
The positive item, was, they attributed improved earnings to reducing marketing and operational costs, while OnSale announced a 10 million dollar commitment to radio and other media advertising.
If bid.com were to accelerate their revenues and keep from expending needless wasted money for adv, there might be something there.
Looks like a good little company for a few people to make some money operating, but not an e-bay or onsale for the market investors.
As for "board of directors", everyone's hedging their bets right now and cuddling up to anyone that might be a factor in their future.
I love this business, the internet!
Also, their WebSite is slow and basic. They don't even communicate well on their home page, to choose America or Canada to proceed. It took me a minute or two, and that's not good for the web-user customer. Very little preliminary info, like cost of shipping etc.
Maybe I didn't explore enough.
I 'll check it again.
