You might want to try a couple other things as well. If you do see exclamation marks on devices in the Device Manager, it could mean a couple of things: 1) The driver installed for the device is missing, incorrect, or corrupted. Look for an update, or simply re-install the right driver 2) The device is not PNP and no longer exists. It happens that the device is no longer hooked up the the system, but the Windows Registry is still told it's there. At which point it can _usually_ be removed safely. You can still see that with external scanners and Zip/Jazz drives that are usually hooked up through a parallel port or SCSI card, but are currently not connected. 3) There's a conflict with another device. Either an IRQ, DMA setting, memory range or the like. Check the resource tab for further information / suggestions. Richard
