I've explained xDSL about twenty times now, not much reason to do it again.

10% penetration by the year 2001 and many lines will never be able to use it.
Kind of makes it a poor choice for a remote access system but if it ever does make enough penetration in a certain area and a company wants remote access based on it Data Race has already run tests of BT over xDSL.

After all - it's the technology behind the modem, not the line connection,
that makes BT & Telepresence what it is.

I suspect DSL's penetration is already many orders of magnitude higher than BT's.

I suspect the same thing. It'll be interesting to see if BellAtlantic can do in one week with DSL what it took RACE two years to do with BT.
