what do you think the situation in Taiwan and China. It seems like the situation in most Asia countries have stabilized and some even start to recover, and now in Taiwan, the situation is just start to get ugly. You can compare all this countries stock market index to get a clue. It's going to hurt capital spending in semi. equipement sector. That's why I am not ready to jump in companies like AMAT, ASML or CYMI yet.
China is another factor, export and forgein capital inflow is slowing down a lot. Actually devaluation is more likely now then before.

Gold has been a horrible hedge -- but watch the big money -- the really big money -- the
international money. You can only play in traffic so long before you eventually get hit by
a big truck -

GST,

I did not buy NEM as a hedge. I bought it based on world wide demand for gold which is at an all time high. The only issue keeping the price down is supply due to some central banks selling. If that stops, gold will move up and NEM by much more proportionatly.
