Yes, I knew to whom you were referring. Once you think about it, it is clear as a bell. It really is interesting to watch real time formations and try to judge them "before" they are formations. Not quite as simple as it seems in the textbooks, is it?

Patrick,

I am at this point inclined to think a long turn around tomorrow..
maybe again, after a couple of hours of down to sideways, a kind of
test of today's low that maybe won't even reach the low..

We are reaching my oversold area.. that usually holds but can
go further of course.. the bounce back late today was quite impressive from this oversold region and usually suggests it will hold for a time anyway..

We will see... Coug

Hi Pat, my trading experience sense of it is that we are overdone on the south side enough to try a bounce, especially with some techs, although there hasn't been a full touch of support areas for some including INTC. Yet falls are broken in stages, so a temp move up is there.. question of when. I'm still trend bearish, looking for the channel to eventually break to the downside.

Today was odd stuff, negative tick all day with positive trin, bonds holding not signaling higer or lower, transports jumping into the air, banks holding, gold stocks up, energy sinking etc etc... We're on a number of support lines, which will provide a cushion of testing waiting for further numbers. Not a common throw of the dice.

Earnings warnings aren't letting good report run, the mode is selling the good news and sqishing the bad under foot.
