Emerge, The big difference between NASA's overcoming daunting challenges is that their budget was humongous, and PLFM's is limited, with a very well-defined window of opportunity for success. NASA was funded year-to-year and project-to-project with federal money. PLFM won't get an unlimited number of trials in a schedule set as much by political needs as technical/operational, as NASA did.
