Sometimes they are wrong, indeed, and even when they are right, the positions of the respondents are frequently shallow, and very changeable. I have made that point myself. But if you don't pay any attention to them, how can you be confident that pro- lifers are extremist according to your definition? How can you tell if they seriously deviate from the majority?

Actually Michelle; Neocon is on to something with his abortion poll numbers. As they indicate; a sizable portion of people view abortion as MURDER; REDRUM!!!! I would like to start a political consulting group called "People for Will of the People" and advise Republican's to run on the issues as are indicated by these polls Neocon posts. I would advice Republican candidates to refer to abortion as murder often in speeches and in TV and radio spots. Then we will watch the outcome of the elections and see how well these Republican candidates that take the advice of the "People for the Will of the People"'s guidance. My guess is that this will be a shortlived consulting venture. I would love to have the Republican's run on the results of internet polls though as posted by our good friends for the Repubican's on this thread. I would find that all very exciting to watch. Here comes the House for the Dems in 2000 for sure!!!!!
