Michael,

(since one would expect that the market doesn't slash 75% of the value of multi-billion dollar enterprises simply due to 1-2 year phenomena expected to pass).

I'm not so sure that is true anymore.

I have a brother who is a broker, and a friend who does research
for Gabelli (sp?) and we spend a lot of time talking stocks and
one of the things they keep bringing up is the short time frame
for more and more investors. If it is not going to pay in 6 months, forget about it. Could we be seeing a massive paradigm shift towards
shorter horizons? Especially in the volatile tech sector. Hell,
there are companies that might not even be around in two years in
this sector. What's your sense on this? My sense is that two years
is a long time in the tech sector, not for me, but for an increasing
number of investors.
