mike, two questions... 1. do you think any oil producing countries will have y2k related infrastructure problems and, if so, what do you think is the best way to play the collapse in oil supply? 2. where can i get s&p earnings data by quarter and year. 3. how bad has idc been over the past couple years? can you give specific examples? ok, that's three, not two. i have a friend who quoted idc and i fell off my chair. he said they are credible, industry pros. i know they are industry hacks and over guess the pc market continually but i didn't have the exact numbers in my head. too much other junk there ;-) tia...

A large difference between managing a mutual fund and managing portfolios for individuals. I still enjoy going to the office in the morning.

thanks for your thoughts, Michael... I was debating going short on Japan March 31...I wonder if its a no-brainer as I'm assuming the mkt is being artificially pumped for the year end...If it doesn't work out I'd cover early April...Any thoughts on Japan and the Nikkei as things stand... Hey spring is only a few days away... Gotta love it... Howard
