Djane, what do you expect from a low life "Salesman". This guy is not of a CEO caliber. He talks like a low life politician, constantly campaigning about CSCO bullshit, a company made of collection of dozens of worthless crappy acquisitions. He will be remembered for how he trash talked about competition not for his CEO skills. He is not even worth talking about, just a silly Joker.

Chambers is in fact shitting in pants daily, just thinking about LU/ASND combo. It is a nightmare for him.

Rumor had it that CSCO was courting ASND but was not willing to ante up. Now Chambers is mad and trying to act like the whole thing makes no sense. Personally, I have talked to a number of CSCO people who admitted that LU was their competition; that was *before* the merger. Chambers is all talk and propaganda. It may have worked with Bay years ago when the market was small but today you can't chill a company like LU/ASND by bad mouthing them everyday.

His judgment of Lucent's deal is particularly harsh. "I think
the mathematical odds are that it will fail," Mr Chambers
said. "Look at it in terms of common characteristics; look
at it in terms of common vision of how the industry is
going to evolve, and the role each of those companies are
going to play in that evolution; look at it in terms of
short-term wins.

John Chambers is the best PR ASND/LU ever had! Keep on yapping JC, your days are numbered (remember Newtie???).

GO ASND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
