Hi Guys--- <g>
Are we watching the consent manufacturing here?????

They seem to pretend that they are asking our permission--- ahaha

My impression rightly or wrongly is that we are poking the big bear again----Dangerous game IMHO , but possibly very profitable especially when the bear is on his knees...

who will control Eastern europe now? I think that is the game afoot

PS: Tony Blair should be charged with blowing Clinton as opposed to Monica IMHO

Secretary of State Madeleine Allbright is the worst Secretary of State..

Ron,

your country ever had and should be given the shaft by Bill without delay. Of course that is only my opinion

A poster on this thread has described the U.S. position presently in the Balkans as having been put into the corner with which I agree 100%.

But not only the U.S..Equally every other participant as well. With the result that clean hands are forced by incompetent minds in regards to the past history of the local players. Besides the brushing away in arrogant fashion of political alliances dating back centuries is not the diplomatic way.

Foreign policy plays such as "cornerning your opponent" are similar to ordinary bike exercises which of course are alien to womens.

There are fundamental rules involved such as:

One must always extend the outside leg before leaning into a corner. Now if one knows the Russians and their traditional political involvement in the Balkans one has no outside leg to stand on for starters. Never mind extending it.

Furthermore one must have the eyes focused on the farthest point of the corner and apply the brakes before the actual play.

Well our Madeleine did not focus at any time the farthest point, because if she had she would have had to recognize that military gear like rockets and bombs will not succeed for various reasons. The most important one is found in the Balkan terrain.

Lastly one must apply the brakes before turning.

Well it will never come to it as she and her foreign policy will fall off the bike in my opinion.

Mr. Victor Gerashchenko the head of the Russian central bank said that without further financial aid Russia had little chance of paying more than half of the $17.5 billions in interest on foreign debts that it owes this year alone.

What's the deal Madeleine? Do you bet that the Russians will keep their hands of the Balkans and sacrifice their natural friendship with the Serbs because they need your dollars in order to survive as a emerging democracy?

I recommend to the Secretary of State Madeleine Allbright the reading "In Retrospect: The Tragedy and Lessons of Vietnam" by Robert S. McNamara.

Another one who thought that bombs will do the trick.
