Let's face it Chretien and Blair are just puppets of the U.S.; like the rest of NATO. CANADA should have maintained a completely neutral stance in this thing and pushed hard for more negotiations.

By the way bombing can't change people's minds. Look at Iraq as an example; they are still completely defiant after months of bombing.

p.s. I'm Canadian too ehhh.

I responded to this position statement from the Libertarian Party posted by Dave Reed. I don't think I need state why. I started my message with the phrase Personally because my stance is very different than the one being espoused by the Libertarian policy. I can yak if I want. I also made a point of using an analogy similar to one previously used by Rory Macleod on the thread with the US and the Spanish population of the Southwest.

As a well known Evil Canadian M&M Short, who does his own D&D, I have grown used to abuse so I was pleasantly surprised by this response which politely and effectively refuted each point I had made.

Canajan eh ?

James is a very effective as this repliestothis link shows, he has another poster who is in full agreement with him, and of course, yours truly.

As you can see, each person politely stakes out some reasonable ground and attempts to defend themselves, it is easier when many are on your side, it isn't always that way of course.

Graystone must have made some opinion points as this repliestothis link shows, we have one poster agreeing, Mr. Nicoll attacking the weakest part of the argument, very perceptive, and another poster who introduces a tangent line of logic with the very effective BS, a valid response to anothers opinion if you are willing to offer your own.

The conversation continued, at this juncture, as you can see I addressed Mr. Nicolls arguments. I pointed out that he was right in many ways and made the point that Milosevic has proven, like Hussein, that dialogue is useless.

Though Mr. Nicoll and I may vote differently, look differently, act differently, believe differently, we can still establish common ground for dialogue. It really is one of the reasons that I like SI.
