Hi Skiperr,
As far as I know Tom has his UOPIX in Waterhouse. There you can buy or sell Mutual Funds in Dollars.
I recently opened an account with ProFunds. I had to sell my Waterhouse shares because they are not transferable. They told me at Profunds that you buy with dollars and sell shares. No mention of percentages was made. If the NASDAQ stay where it is now I'll get my first sell in Profunds and I haven't had it a week yet. WHOOPEE!!

Hi S, My fraternity's account is set up at Waterhouse and it lets me trade either shares or dollars as subsequent trades. In Newport, if you make your minimum # of Shares = to 5% of your portfolio's total shares, then when you get a signal, you could trade 5% of your position and be pretty close.

Best regards, Tom
