Frank, I was aware we get nuthin on the players. But I was more focused on the incompatibility of DIVX players and how the emergence of this slightly different format slows down the adoption of DVD. That was the point of my post.

That article cites 800,000 DVD players have shipped and says Circuit City has sold 90,000 DIVX players. Says there are more than 400 DIVX titles available.

Frank, are you saying the DIVX player stores the code for each disk played by an individual?
