<< Now that Clinton has blown the initial phase, it's going to be much much harder of a problem to solve. >>

Don't be so quick to call NATO's efforts a failure. If you accept the fact that the slob Milosevic had massed troops on the border of Kosovo and was ready for the ethnic cleansing of Kosovo, then we acted very quickly in an attempt to stop them.

Bombings didn't work in Vietnam, which was a more agricultural society. But, in a more industrial Yugoslavia, bombing can have a devastateing effect. If you doubt this, ask the Serbs!

<< Everything has been destroyed and there isn't anything for the refugees to go back to,,, if they even want to go back. >>

What monsters these Serb soldiers are, to destroy peoples homes and steal everything that these poor innocent people own!

But, the Serb criminals have not destroyed everything. And, from what I've seen, the Kosovos want to return home, in saftey, and rebuild or fix what is left.

What other choice do they have?

<< Would you want to expose your family to the risk of Milosevic's word? >>

Somehow I get the image of slob Milosevic giving his word, while his hand is searching your pocket for money he can steal.

<< ... that Milosevic himself been given up to be put on trial for crimes against humanity. >>

What do you think the chances are that slob Milosevic will ever be tried for crimes against humanity? Perhaps, once the Serbian people wake up to the fact that he seeks to imprison all Serbs in a dictatorship and steal more millions from them, perhaps the Serbian people will put him on trial!?

>>WE, the US, should take charge of the situation....
>>but Clinton only seems to be doing this half hearted...

Why should we "take charge" ? If anyone should take charge it's the European nations. We should have remained completely out of this debacle unless invited by Europe. This may have eased the Russian perception of this thing.

I think if we put ground troops in Russia may have more to say about this situation.
