Gerald, Re: I said that DSL is a fraction of the speed of cable, and for comparably priced service it is.

That may be true in US but not Canada. ADSL in Canada is 4M/512k
which is comparable to Cable and only cost CDN$10 more per month
but you don't have share it with anyone and don't have to go
through any proxy servers.

Re: "DSL is a fraction of the speed of cable, and for comparably priced service it is."

Yes, the statement is not a universal fact.

- No speed degradation?
- No comparing the (unguaranteed) max cable speed to guaranteed min DSL?
- Free webhosting?
- No restriction of web content programs to the cable's?
- Ability to connect phone & PC to one line?
- No limited video streaming too?
- Comparable package?

I'd recommend, "DSL may be in some cases" instead of "DSL is."

I noticed you worked on the Boeing 747-400 too. I was working on this software project as an undergrad - the flight simulation controls; take off and landing. One time, someone asked me on a plane what I do for a living (during takeoff too.)
