Mohan,

That was my lame attempt at humor, since CPQ missed earnings eactly by 50%. :-)

Now, if DELL reports 17 cents vs last quarters 31 cents I would be ecstatic.

Hi Mohan-san:

Great e-mail to MCD. Somehow 5fer has the mentality of torpedoing Dell even if it means cutting his own nose. about a week or two ago 5fer stated that CPQ business is rosy and it takes away business from competitor (Dell implied). Now that Dell has an analysts conference and gives an upbeat outlook, 5fer came out and ruin the entire sector by announcing terrible warning just to ruin Dell.

If Yugo cannot sell cars in the US, it does not mean that the market for cars is slowing. 5fer alwasys blames the demand is slow, which MCD disputed.

The puzzling about the market is that CPQ stock is the only one that went up before the announcement. Dell, IBM, GTW, HP all were red.

Hope your e-mail will make MCD mad and come out this weekend defending the sector.

Paul
