FMK, is your "$500 million in royalties" number an attempt to provide me an obvious update to my list of "the best of FMK" posts? You know I still need to update the list for first and second quarters of 99.

You are now repeating a totally unsubstantiated number as if it is fact. Just as you have done many other times with many other issues. What is the substantiation for this number? Who is receiving these $500 million in revenues?

And apparently, potential sources of financing for VLNC have not recognized this vast money-making machine you described, since the best they have done so far is to come up with floorless convertible shares. Makes no sense to me that VLNC is going to be rolling in so much dough in the near future but they can't find financing at favorable terms.

Fred: I project nothing until p.o.'s are announced. Both the words of the bulls, and the bears, amount to so much puffery. And no Mark, I ain't "bashing." ;-) Merely stating the obvious.

If you've sat around corporate negotiations tables then you know there's only so much pontification that can be tolerated. Once that point is reached, it amounts to yakkity yak, with no clear-cut substance behind it. Indeed it points out the positional weakness of the group doing the continual yakkity yak. At some point I say "can it" to all parties. By the way, what's my "some point"? I think 3 years of watching both tribes go for each others throat is long enough, don't you? Let's see some action out of team VLNC. Period.

As fer patience....well...I've stated my time-frames by which I expect to see such action. What's everyone else's expectation? Come on now, I KNOW everybody interested in VLNC's got a time-frame, and hey, I even include the bears in the query. HEH! If this was poker you could say I'm calling, so let's hear it. Or better yet, open a pot, toss some money in it and state yer calculus. If'n you're right, you win the pot. 'Tis done every week in damn near every office across the land during football season, no? So......What are folks thoughts on this time-frame while we wait on team VLNC to announce p.o.'s?

John~
