Tom, I think your eyes are 20/20: it pulled back on low vol and looks poised to move again. But...use a tight stop!

Regards,

Gary

Dear Gary,

Ampex (AXC), a video internet & video storage solutions company, has recently appeared on my radar screen as IBD confirms that it is under heavy accumulation and my visual analysis indicates the stock price is continually achieving higher lows and highs.

I've taken a position at $4.00, almost sold above $6.75, but believe that there is much more upside potential left as it appears the positive trend will continue for the long term.

Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me or I need a new pair of glasses. Have I missed an opportunity to trade this stock? Is it building a new base? Should I get my eyes examined post haste?

Best O'Luck,

Tom Kirwin

I agree with curiouswalker on Yahoo and reiterate that this is the first time since I have followed Ampex, starting in 1996, that the chairman's letter has ended or even been UPBEAT. Clearly he is excited about the possibilities.

Most of the news in the letter was not new to us but maybe the rest of the investing community will start to take notice. We are starting to get a few internet stock sites recommending us and hopefully that will increase with this letter.

Chris

addendum [ thanks, hal ] re: .......RNWK and MSFT.

they were prominently mentioned
as the two streaming software suppliers being downloaded every day,
much the way they were highlighted through the narrowcast competition on TVontheWeb.

i'm not sure what,
if any, specific connection might be revealed beyond that.
it may simply have been an obvious nod to those at the
vanguard of this key development
or,
it may portend an affiliation.....i have no read on it.

anyone else?

A truly thoughtful and energetic letter from Ed. B. Most significant:

"We have learned how to take electronic images and audio, process, manipulate, compress and store them, and to [sic] make them look and sound better."

What can the last phrase mean other than the coming of an AXC technology value-add?

If true, we may have our "Dolby."

Congratulations to the thread for anticipating every significant comment and development in Ed's presentation to shareholders. In many cases, we've been on top of the roadmap for months. We are, indeed, a most powerful and effective group. Thus, it's no coincidence that we have confidence in AXC's future.

Bullish.
