Yousef, This is the press release I found on Samsung's site about their .18 process

intl.samsungsemi.com

One line catch my eyes is that it said Alpha is manufactured
using .25 process. I thought it is .35. If it is .25, do you
think it is a bit disappointed for the performance it can
achieve ?

Gary

Yousef or PB,

Something I am really curios about,

How much more expensive (if any) is AMD 5 metal layer process compare to Intel are 0.25, PER UNIT AREA? 10%? 50%? I am really wondering about this?

Of course it would take some serious speculation, but I am wondering that if both process are yielding well, how much extra money (if any) does AMD has to spend on equipment depreciation, labor and materials to do their 5 metal layer process.

I am asking about the percentage difference in cost per unit area assuming equal yields.

If this is a stupid question which it well could be, let me know nicely, thanks.
